Park Tool CC-4 Chain Checker:
A worn bicycle chain causes poor shifting performance and can actually wear out drivetrain components, causing more expensive problems. The Park Tool CC-4 Chain Checker is a drop-in style gauge that measures bicycle chain wear. The laser cut CC-4 accurately measures a long section of chain and strategically comes in contact with the chain in three places, quickly and easily taking the guesswork out of determining when chain replacement is necessary. The tool works on any 5 to 12-speed derailleur chain (including SRAM® eTap® AXS and Shimano® XTR® 12-speed chains) and is designed to accurately indicate when a chain reaches 0.5% and 0.75% wear, the points at which most chain manufacturers suggest replacement.
CC-4 Features:
5-to-10-speed chains: replace chain at or just before 0.75%
11-to-12-speed chains: replace at or just before 0.5%
Check with manufacturer for specific replacement instructions
Dry Lube:
Finish Line's Dry Lube goes on wet and sets up with a dry 'wax-like' synthetic film that helps keep your chain clean by not absorbing excessive amounts grit, grime, or dust. Thanks to the added Teflon fluoropolymer, Finish Line's Dry Lube minimizes pedaling friction, repels moisture, and withstands rides up to 100 miles. An extremely versatile lubricant and a perfect choice for many road and off-road cyclist.
Dry Lube is especially recommended for riding on or off-road in dry, dirty, dusty environments, yet it holds up well in moderately wet conditions. Dry Lube can also be used on derailleurs, shifters, cables, and brake pivot points. Finish Line's Dry Lube provides optimum drivetrain efficiency without attracting an excessive amount of abrasive contaminants. This is Finish Line's most popular and versatile lubricant.
Wet Lube:
Wet Lube is typically recommended for extreme conditions. Formulated with high viscosity synthetic oils, water repelling polymers, and advanced anti-wear additives. Wet Lube is Finish Line's strongest, longest lasting and most water resistant lubricant. Wet Lube goes on wet, and stays wet, to provide maximum drivetrain smoothness, extremely quiet rides, and ultimate rust protection in the harshest of environments.
If you use Wet Lube for riding off-road or in dry climates, be sure to wipe the excess from parts to minimize the attraction of dirt and grime. Since 1994, when Wet Lube was first introduced, it has become the preferred lubricant for many professional on and off-road teams around the world
Use Wet Lube when you ride hard and long. Proven performance for 100-plus mile rides, muddy off-road conditions, long rainy commutes, and foggy salt-air coastal climates. A heavier, wet-style lubricant that requires a little more attention to drivetrain cleanliness, but delivers the ultimate in lubricity and protection.
